L.A. Gold - Perth's Best Show Band to Play at 2008 Coco's Party

One of the hottest tickets in town every year is the Coco's Party on the stunning South Perth foreshore.

A-Lister's manoeuvre for months to secure an exclusive invitation to this event. This year those fortunate enough to score an invitation will not only get the chance to eat and drink Coco's finest but will also be entertained and dance the night away with Perth's best show band ...
L.A. Gold.

This year's black tie event will be supporting the Salvation Army (in conjunction with Oasis and Crossroads West) and the Swan Animal Haven.

From Bollywood to Fremantle Prison

We have been having loads of fun dressing up over the last couple of months. There have been many themed shows and of course we love getting involved and joining in the fun ... the more bling the better!

From Arabian Nights to Clairault Winery

Last weekend L.A. Gold wowed guests at two very special functions. From the Arabian Nights on the Swan River at the Freshwater Bay Yacht Club to the beautiful gardens at the Clairault Winery in Margaret River. We had some very interesting moments never experienced before as performers. Firstly, true to the sand dunes of Arabia we had two very real camels sitting on the sandy dancefloor and they stayed there while we played with guests dancing around them - I think I even noticed them bopping along to the music! Secondly, the private party at Clairault Winery was in full swing and then Peter's very persuasive rendition of 'Leave Your Hat On' had the birthday boy totally naked before the end of the song - and of course, all he was wearing was his hat! I didn't think to grab the camera so apologies that there is no pic, but there were plenty of witnesses!

If you didn't already know, Peter and Darlene are also involved in a children's stage show called the 'Punky Panda Show'. Punky is very cute and in much demand on the kiddies circuit. For the second time we were asked to perform at the Teddy Bear's Picnic at the stunning Seashells Caves House in Yallingup while we were in the area on the same weekend. It was a great day and also supported the Starlight Children's Foundation. Punky was a hit on the day!!

Corporate Show Band Like No Other

Okay, so I've been too busy to post any new stories lately (and haven't I been hearing about it)! L.A. Gold have been performing at some great shows over the past two months and have loads of great pics to share with you. In the last two weeks we have entertained in the beautiful south-west of WA playing to the corporate high flyers at the Leeuwin Estate Concert in Margaret River and the week later we were back down there entertaining private party goers at the new and absolutely gorgeous Smiths Beach Resort in Yallingup - I highly recommend a weekend stay http://www.smithsbeachresort.com.au/ ... situated right on the untouched beaches of Yallingup with crystal clear water and white sands, the accommdation is gorgeous, the restaurant is relaxing and the food divine, the gourmet deli and boutique cocktail bar - very inviting, and the staff absolutely delightful. We had a great weekend. I especially enjoyed a beach swim the morning after the show - it couldn't have been more perfect!
